Specially written for the new National Curriculum, we are proud to present our educational sessions looking at life in Bronze Age – around 1300 BC.
Our Bronze Age character[s] arrive wearing clothing of the time, with tools and weaponry, and holding a pack containing miscellaneous objects from the period.
Our presentation examines what Bronze is, how is it made and what can it be used for.
We introduce them to the concept of a roundhouse, with a central hearth .
Children get the chance to spin wool using a drop spindle, and have a go on a primitive weaving loom. They understand about clothing and materials available at the time, learning strange new things!
We discuss the origins of farming and the domestication of animals, the continued importance of hunting, and the use of flint, as well as Bronze & Copper tools.
We look at ancestor worship, burial practices, average life expectancy, trade and boats.
Dressing-up time [prepared in advance with school] and Photo time.
We have NATIONWIDE COVERAGE to enable us to deliver our school workshops across the country, where-ever your school is located. From Suffolk to Anglesey, Isle of Wight to Scotland, we make history happen!
