Black Knight Historical Events.

Recreating events from history to the highest standards for discerning clients. Over the last few years we have managed and performed at numerous historic projects across the UK.  Granting of Charters for markets,  anniversary celebrations for the coronation of King Henry VIII.  The 175th anniversary of the first photographic negative at Lacock Abbey. Dover Castle -the Dunkirk rescue of 1940 in Operation Dynamo.  2015.  Agincourt! Waterloo! Magna Carta! VE day!  This year we have many new clients to entertain including Berkeley Castle, Kelham Hall, Valence House museum, Trowbridge Council, Colchester castle, The Museum of East Anglian Life, Moyses Hall/West Stow, and so on...

In 2011 we saw many new challenges. From the 450th anniversary of Prior Purslove College in Guisborough , two events on the Isle of Man Steam Railway, the 7th Mediæval Spectacular at Pensthorpe, and a new exciting road of adventure at Holkham Hall in Norfolk, to name but a few.

2012 saw our best year to date, developing events for Vivacity in Peterborough, an RAF tribute at Blickling Hall, events for CADW and our team of Victorian servants were launched to great acclaim at Holkham Hall Victorian Christmas.

In 2013 we launched our Bronze Age experimental archaeology team at Flag Fen, Boudicca and Iron Age characters , St Georges Day event at Bodiam castle, Dr Who 50th anniversary activities, and 'Pride & Prejudice' tribute events. Aston Hall in Birmingham  asked us along in November for a Civil War era 'Christmas by Candlelight' event which was a sell-out over 6 nights.

2014.  As expected, The Great War featured highly, with tribute activities in Hereford, Lowestoft, Duxford, Soham and Woburn Abbey. Our flagship event, the Medieval Spectacular at Pensthorpe is being staged for the 10th year, and as always the full listing of our events can be found on the events diary page.

2015 was dominated by Magna Carta. A fabulous event at Erpingham in Norfolk invoked memories of Agincourt, and we launched a series of Victorian Christmas Markets across the country.

Our events are, naturally, best suited to historic properties, both outside in the grounds or within the building, where we have the necessary costumes, uniforms, props and expertise to make perfect dioramas and settings to delight visitors.

We have successfully organised events in schools, churches and churchyards, ultra-modern museums, Cathedrals, castles, kitchens, galleries, libraries, football pitches and even replicated a 14th century pilgrimage to Walsingham from Norwich.

Many of our events are becoming annual attractions, being repeated by clients as they see successful formats bring increased visitor numbers. Our flagship events are those for the Treasure Houses of England.

We also organise historical markets and fayres. Please contact us if you would like to attend, exhibit, demonstrate or trade.
