Soldiers Through The Ages
A truly spectaular show spanning 2000 years of our history. From Roman times through to the Second World War, with a cast of at least 100 performers [varies dependant on availability] and seen regularly at Castle Rising in Norfolk.
The event features many authentic Living History encampments where the daily life of soldiers through the ages can be witnessed, both in and out of battle conditions. Campfires and cookery, crafts, storytelling and music, and relaxation off duty are all represented.
Armour, weapons and equipment can be seen and handled by visitors [under supervision of course],
Individual arena slots of 30 minutes feature a host of military action- archery, crossbows, cannons, swords, axes and spears, muskets, pike and pistols.
At least one session involves audience participation for the children to get involved, and is well received by families visiting, and there are hundreds of photo and video opportunities throughout the day.
A grand finale with parade and lots of humour concludes a fantastic day out!
