SPACE REQUIRED

FORMAT
In groups of 8 maximum, children are issued pirate costume & accessories. They receive the ‘black spot’ and a treasure map from a real pirate, and a demonstration of how to tackle the obstacle course ahead. They have to carry a plank [walk the plank] around the course, going over and under obstacles, under a sail, through a porthole, avoid ‘sharks’, poke the stuffed sack at the end of the course with their ‘cutlass’ and hang onto a rope for a count of 10 with feet off the ground. Other obstacles may be added as time or location permits. We end each group session with the firing of a real blunderbuss or cannon and the issue of a gold foil covered chocolate coin for every child [or piece of fruit]. They can pose for photos if they wish in front of our large ‘pirate ship’ backdrop [picture above, top right] with a real pirate, or on their own, or in their group as approved by their parent/guardian.
